Healthcare Infrastructure

The Health & Family Welfare Department has developed a strong healthcare network across Arunachal Pradesh through General Hospitals, District Hospitals, Community Health Centres, Primary Health Centres and Sub-Centres.

These institutions provide preventive, promotive, curative and emergency healthcare services to people residing in both urban and rural areas of the State.

Health Service Delivery

The Department continuously works towards improving healthcare delivery by upgrading hospitals, increasing bed capacity, deploying medical staff, strengthening disease control programmes and ensuring equitable access to healthcare services.

Focus is also placed on maternal & child healthcare, immunization, disease prevention and strengthening rural healthcare systems.
